Rafael Leao has been the main focus of AC Milan recently, and it is understandable why. In fact, it probably will remain the case.
The lasting memory before the international break is that Milan drew with Juventus, but it could have been more. Unfortunately, there is nothing more recent than that game, and whilst it could be a good thing for Massimiliano Allegri, it is not the best thing to have lingering.

Fabrizio Romano, earlier today, spoke about the situation, insisting that whilst the talk of this break will be Leao, there are no worries internally about him or his performance, despite suggestions that he could lose a starting spot.
Del Piero’s advice
It remains to be seen what will happen when he returns from the international break, but Alessandro Del Piero spoke about Leao and his future to Sky Sport after Sunday’s game, and offered the forward some advice, via MilanNews.

“Leao? There’s no better place to make the definitive leap in quality because Allegri is at Milan. He played for half an hour but still had three chances. Then he was out for 40 days due to injury. He must want to become the symbol of Milan.”
It seems that everyone believes in Leao under Allegri; now it is just a case of it clicking.

Fans often want something different than what we have in the team or players that we root for. Leadership, determination and grinta are often expected, but not necessarily in the make-up for each player on the pitch. In Rafa, Milan has an incredibly talented player who just seems to play for the love of the game. Perhaps Milan fans need to just appreciate him for that.
Looking at the comments coming out of the Juventus game, Rabiot, Pulisic and Allegri show great leadership, determination and heart. Add Maignan, Gabbia, Modric and Salamaekers to that and Milan fans have much to be hopeful for this year.
And soon enough the fanbois will attack Del Piero and call him a hater too. 😀
