Sky: Potential delay and how the management will look – latest on Investcorp takeover

By Oliver Fisher -

Further updates have arrived regarding AC Milan’s probable transfer of ownership from Elliott Management to Investcorp.

Speaking live on Sky (via MilanNews), Peppe Di Stefano took stock of the situation, starting with a confirmation that the signing of the contract scheduled for tomorrow could be postponed by a few days for purely technical reasons. The parties have agreed on all aspects and there will be no twists.

Investcorp are buying Milan because of where the club are at right now and therefore they will inherit whoever are the management currently, which means they are almost certain to keep Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara as directors.

Finally, CEO Ivan Gazidis’ contact will expire at the end of November and he is highly esteemed for his work. It will depend a lot on him whether he wants to continue or not, but if he leaves then the new CEO could be Giorgio Furlani, Elliott’s portfolio manager and a man who has always been involved in the running of the club.
