As Juventus lost to Napoli last night, Milan were presented with a very good opportunity as they took on Spezia away from home. However, they were outplayed and could now lose first place in the standings.

It wasn’t the Rossoneri’s night and many things can be said about the game, but now it will be important for Stefano Pioli’s men to look forward. On Thursday, they will take on Red Star Belgrade and then on Sunday, they will face Inter.

The Derby Della Madonnina, of course, is more important than it has been for years and with the loss last night, it’s a must-win for Milan. But it will also be important for Inter, though they could have a better position with a win vs. Lazio tonight.

Should they lose as well, then Juventus will surely be smiling in the background, as they also have a game in hand and thus have a chance still. We can only hope that Milan will react well to the loss and end next week successfully.
