CM: Devis Vasquez day underway – what his signing means for Milan’s plans

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are closing in on being able to make the signing of Devis Vasquez official as he is currently undergoing his medical at La Madonnina Clinic.

Calciomercato.com writes that it is Devis Vasquez’s day as the Colombian goalkeeper born in 1998 is in the city and his medical has begun. He is arriving from Guaraní, a Paraguayan team, for a fee of €500k and will be available to Stefano Pioli in eight days.

Vasquez will become the fifth Colombian in Milan history after Mario Yepes (from 2010 to 2013), Cristian Zapata (from 2012 to 2019), Pablo Armero (from 2014 to 2015) and Carlos Bacca (from 2015 to 2017),

He will take the last non-EU slot in the squad and is being signed for the future, given that the contracts of Antonio Mirante and Ciprian Tatarusanu are expiring in June.

However, his signing doesn’t rule out the possibility of signing another new goalkeeper in the current transfer window, especially if bad news arrives regarding Mike Maignan’s injury.
