Di Marzio: AC Milan ready to move for Modric if opening appears

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan would be ready to make a move for Real Madrid’s Luka Modric if the opportunity presented itself, it is claimed.

Reports earlier on Monday claimed that Milan’s leadership met with Predrag Mijatovic, the former Real Madrid striker who now works as an intermediary with Vlado Lemic.

There were suggestions that the meeting was used as a potential enquiry over Modric, however reports then emerged later on Monday that the Croatia international has already politely declined an approach from Boban over the idea of a Milan move.

Now, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed on Monday night’s edition of Calcio Mercato L’Originale that there is definite interest from Milan in Modric.

So much so, that if an opening appeared then the Rossoneri would be willing to make their move for the 2018 Ballon d’Or winner, who played 40 times across LaLiga and the Champions League for Los Blancos last season.
