Di Marzio: Ballo-Toure accepts Werder Bremen’s proposal as talks with Milan continue

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan defender Fode Ballo-Toure has accepted the personal terms put on the table by Werder Bremen but there is no agreement between the two clubs at this stage, a report claims.

As has been reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, the Senegalese defender is now happy to make the move to Werder Bremen, which is a step in the right direction for Milan.

He has previously turned down a move to Fulham, which is why it has taken longer for his departure to be confirmed.

The details of the agreement with Werder Bremen for personal terms are not yet known, other than it being a four-year contract, but Milan are looking to receive €5m for Ballo-Toure.

Ballo-Toure’s main desire is playing time and it seems that Werder Bremen have convinced him that he will receive that in the Bundesliga. He is one of many players that Milan wish to sell during the rest of this transfer window.

  1. Did the job for the price we paid. You can’t have the best left back in the world and expect crazy minutes as a sub. But if we’re going to develop a youth I don’t see the problem there either

      1. Balo-Toure has been okay whenever he played. He did his job for a cheap option. He cannot be a clone of Theo.

You have to question Pioli’s game and man management. Most times, he wear players out and keeps playing them until they get injured.

      2. I thought we’re going for Califori? I’m assuming here. Then he would play. Otherwise we’re going with Bertsaghi (which is a massive risk imo, goal clearing tackle notwithstanding 🤷‍♂️
