Di Marzio: Inter and Calhanoglu getting ‘closer and closer’ – Milan exit likely

Hakan Calhanoglu is yet to respond to Milan’s renewal offer and not it seems he could be heading to city-rivals Inter. Certainly, should he complete the free transfer, it would be incredibly disrespectful to the Rossoneri.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Calhanoglu and Inter are getting ‘closer and closer’ in the contract negotiations. The Neraaziuzrri have really made a serious attempt for the player, which came after the first inquiry with the No.10’s agent.

Milan have put €4m per year on the table and don’t have any intention to budge from this, while Inter have made a slightly better offer. And because the Rossoneri won’t improve their offer, Calhanoglu could join the rivals officially very soon.

Simone Inzaghi, the new coach of Inter, wants the player as he’s similar to Luis Alberto. In addition, the future of Christian Eriksen is uncertain and the Nerazzurri won’t want to be caught unprepared.
