Di Marzio says Kamada wants Milan move but Rossoneri yet to decide

By Euan Burns -

Transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has said that AC Milan are waiting to decide if they want to sign Daichi Kamada on a free transfer or not this summer.

Speaking whilst on Sky Sport 24 (via Milan News), Di Marzio provided something of an update on the future of Eintracht Frankfurt attacking midfielder Kamada.

The Japanese player is out of contract this summer and is not going to be renewing with the Bundesliga side. Di Marzio claims that he would really like to join Milan but the club are waiting to see if he is their best option.

“Speaking of zero parameters, Milan will choose in the next few days whether to act on their interest in Kamada. He would like Milan, now Milan must decide whether to take him given that the competition is fierce,” Di Marzio said.

Signing Kamada is potentially a very cheap way to replace Brahim Diaz who will only stay at Milan if they can pay around €22 million.

Kamada would not need a transfer fee and would also not demand a level of salary that is prohibitive. At 26 years old, he also has plenty of quality years ahead of him.

    1. Nah, Maldini didn’t like “cheap” player like he said about prefering CDK over “cheap” Dybala. Even though Kamada is the second best Asian Attacker under Son, and can be operate in playmaker position, and have a good freekick like Honda

    2. Get this guy, he’s good and he comes free with low wages. Don’t buy Diaz…only shows up for a half dozen games a year.
We can put the money on a much needed DM, CF and WR.

  1. They will not sign him. It is obvious due to his age. When you see trio bennacer Tonali krunic they will probably invest in right winger, sell messias and buy striker.
Brahim Diaz will be questionable but for me also seems obvious that he can’t play for Real, and the two clubs will reach some kind of agreement with possible percentage of future sale income for real.

    1. We are not paying anything for him .. why does age matter .. he is 26 give him a 4 year contract and let him go when its up .. he will only cost his salary !

    2. We are not signing him as future players, already many young players in AM position but no expereinced players, he will provide option to relieve the burden from these youngster while waiting for them to grow.

    1. Sign this guy i just watch some of his highlights and I must confess this guy i good in passing, dribbling and also he is kinda good in clearance😉😂😂

    1. Who do we need then? He is an attacking midfield player, which we don’t have. We need some options in this position.
      It’s a no brainer..

      1. We don’t want anyone we want better players if we can’t get better players than we must wait until the chance comes

    2. He is a step back from who?
      Kaka? Rui Costa? Boban? Seedorf?
      Gulit? Roberto Baggio?
Yeah he is an enormous step back from those guys, but he is an enormous step forward from Diaz, CDK, Krunic or whoever else we have now. Especially since he is a free agent and only asks for 3 million a season

      1. Good buy, better than Madrid boy,CDK,mesiass, origi, giroud, besides hehas play Big team like Barcelona, Bayer and others delivered, he his just like son, he played just like halkan

      2. All of those players you called are far better than this guy i don’t even think this guy will get chance to play for sambadoria

        1. Did you start watching Seedorf under Allegri? Go and read what Ancelotti said about Seedorf before you talk nonsense. Fans only booed Seedorf, calling him Slowdorf under Allegri.

  2. This is such a low risk free transfer. We are imbeciles of we don’t go for him. Already misser dybala, aouar, ndicka, acerbi for free now we may miss Kamara too… come on.

  3. Such a no brainer. We either pay 22m and then Diaz salary. Or 0m for transfer and 3m salary for Kamara who has a value of 20+m…. really can’t see how this isn’t the most low risk operation out there. We have fools in management. Already lost ndicka and aouar. Last season lost dybala and acerbi. All free…

  4. Sign him, we only have to pay his salary. Send back brahim and sold origi so milan have room for budget. Dybala more expensive with his salary even milan can catch him for free.

  5. If we decided to build this team on free transfers alone, I can bet we’d have a formidable team but somehow this management just doesn’t like to sign free transfer players and it appalling give that most of this free transfers are better than our present players in same position. I’d say money laundering is going on.

  6. ” he would really like to join Milan but the club are waiting to see if he is their best option”

Ah, the classic “wait until he’s already signed elsewhere”-move by Milan. Gotta love it!!! 🙂
