Di Marzio: Lukaku’s Milan contact one reason behind Inter pulling out of pursuit

The contact between Romelu Lukaku and AC Milan in the past few weeks is one of the reasons that Inter have ended their pursuit of the Belgian forward, a report claims.

As has been reported by Gianluca Di Marzio (via Milan News), Inter did not take kindly to the fact that Lukaku’s entourage spoke with Milan and also Juventus to discuss a possible move.

Lukaku was on loan at Inter from Chelsea last season and many assumed that he would then sign permanently if a deal could be struck with Chelsea.

He is now destined not to play for Inter again as they have pulled out of the race. Milan are technically still in the frame but any links between the Rossoneri and Lukaku have always been treated with scepticism.

It seems that if the Belgian is to stay in Italy, it will be with Juventus if they can offload Dusan Vlahovic.
