AC Milan refuse to give up on their pursuit of Angel Correa but no agreement over a fee has yet been reached, a report claims.
Links between the Rossoneri and Correa persist, and La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed earlier on Tuesday that Milan are going ‘full speed ahead’ to try and finally get a deal wrapped up.
We exclusively reported back in July that personal terms have been agreed with the player and all that remains now is for the two clubs to reach an agreement over a fee.
Now, here we are a month later and one of the longest transfer sagas in recent Milan mercato history is seemingly no closer to its conclusion.
On Tuesday, il Corriere della Sera stated that a deal for Correa is ‘very close’ as the two sides have a ‘draft agreement’ over a deal totalling €40million.
However, the reliable Gianluca Di Marzio has now crushed any hope that the end is near, as he claims that while talks are continuing between Milan and Atletico, no agreement has been struck.
He does state that Milan have not given up on Correa, who is ‘at the top of the list’ of attacking reinforcements for Giampaolo.
