Di Marzio: Milan’s final summer signings could depend on Europa League fate

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could wait to secure qualification for the Europa League group stages before making an attempt to sign more players, it is claimed.

The Rossoneri have so far been able to secure the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and welcome Brahim Diaz on loan from Real Madrid plus Sandro Tonali from Brescia.

On Friday, it was confirmed that Milan have signed goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu from Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais.

According to what Gianluca Di Marzio told Sky Italia on Friday night (via MilanNews), Milan’s market so far has been a ‘very logical’ one in which the signing of Tonali came at the right moment.

He adds though that the squad are perhaps missing a central defender and a midfielder. The final signings could depend on the Europa League preliminaries, as qualifying for the group stages of the competition would give a boost in revenue that could get some deals over the line.
