Di Marzio: Porto seek different payment terms to Milan’s current offer for Taremi

Porto would like a different payment structure than the one AC Milan are currently offering to let Mehdi Taremi make the move to Serie A, a report claims.

As has been reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, the Iranian striker is very close to making a move to Milan for a fee of €15m but there are still details to iron out with Porto.

Milan expect Porto to accept a €15m bid but the Portuguese side want different payment terms, primarily in terms of timing. Time is running out when you consider that Taremi is a non-EU player and there will be more paperwork and bureaucracy to deal with.

Another point of discussion is that Taremi will be owed 15% of the sale, but Porto may ask him to waive that.

If the deal is able to go through, Lorenzo Colombo is expected to move to Monza on a loan deal for the season.

  1. In as much as I want Taremi, I think Porto are just too greedy with their request…. He is a great striker but I’d prefer we even wait till his contract expires in 10months with an agreement with him and see who loses.

  2. A player is owed part of the sale proceeds? What kind of deal did he have with them?? I’ve never heard of that…
