Di Marzio: Danish centre-back an idea for Milan – Galatasaray open to exit

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in the market or a new central defender heading into the January transfer window and Victor Nelsson is the latest idea, according to a report.

In defence there is quite an emergency for Milan at the moment, with Simon Kjaer having been physically unreliable this season, while Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw, Marco Pellegrino and Mattia Caldara are all out injured leaving Fikayo Tomori as the only real option in that role.

Milan are aiming to bolster the depth next month, and according to Gianluca Di Marzio the Clement Lenglet track is one that remains. This season the French defender – owned by Barcelona – is on loan at Aston Villa, but is finding very little playing time with only five Conference League appearances to his name and none in the Premier League.

However, Danish defender Victor Nelsson is on Milan’s list too. He has played 20 times for Galatasaray this season across all competitions, but the Turkish club seem to be open to the idea of letting him leave on loan.
