Di Stefano: Milan ‘not happy’ with Europa League draw amid ‘renewed’ Roma side

AC Milan will take on Roma in the Europa League quarter-finals, as was established in the draw yesterday, and the Rossoneri were not super pleased with that. At least according to Sky Italia’s Peppe Di Stefano. 

Most fans would probably say that the draw was positive, with Liverpool ending up on the other side of the knockout tree as well. However, since Daniele De Rossi took over the team in January, Roma have had a very positive run of form.

Speaking on Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews24, the Milan correspondent Peppe Di Stefano shared his thoughts on the draw and above all, the Rossoneri’s reaction. He stated that they weren’t too happy with the outcome.

“Milan are not that happy with the draw because they will be facing a renewed team [Roma], with the second leg to be played away from home as well,” he stated.

On the other hand, getting a team like Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen or Liverpool would have certainly been worse. Therefore, Milan fans should be rather pleased with the draw, especially because we would have a Milan-Liverpool European final on our hands…
