Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has commented on speculation that Angel Correa could move to AC Milan.
Milan appear to be no closer to landing Correa despite having agreed personal terms with him some time ago in what is becoming a drawn-out transfer saga
The Argentine is understood to be keen on a move to Milan, but Atletico to this point are refusing to lower their €50m asking price.
On Tuesday we exclusively reported that Correa is continuing to wait for Milan, and that his representative was due to fly in for talks with the Rossoneri.
However, his agent instead went to Madrid to try and thrash out a deal with Atleti, who in turn were understood to be closing in on Valencia’s Rodrigo as a replacement.
That move is now under doubt too, and Atletico boss Simeone commented on Correa’s future, insisting he is happy to keep the forward.
“I wish all the strong players to stay here to continue competing as we have done so far,” he told reporters.
