Ismael Bennacer has demonstrated his importance to AC Milan throughout the season so far and now the mission of extending his contract continues.
Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) has talked about the renewal of the midfielder who is crucial not only to Stefano Pioli’s way of playing but also for the project moving forward, as the Algerian still has even more margins for growth.
Bennacer received a proposal to renew his contract from Milan before the end of 2022, which was an offer of around €4m net per season including bonuses, while the player was asking for around €4.5m fixed.
It is a gap that could be bridged in the next meetings between Paolo Maldini, Ricky Massara and Bennacer’s new agent Enzo Raiola. The aim is to extend the deadline from the current June 2024 until 2027, thus giving a bit more security given the former Empoli man’s importance to the team.
“an offer of around €4m net per season including bonuses, while the player was asking for around €4.5m fixed.”
So basically nothing has changed in the last few weeks. You can say it’s 3.5M€ + bonuses or 4M€ including bonuses but the end product is pretty much the same.
But I guess the writers need to change these “same news 2-3x per week”-texts a bit to create “new content”. 😛
