Sky: Distance of €10m remains between Milan and Lille over Renato Sanches fee

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still not close to striking an agreement over transfer fee with Lille over midfielder Renato Sanches, according to a report.

According to what was reported by Manuele Baiocchini on Sky (via MilanNews), Milan have chosen Renato Sanches as their reinforcement for the midfield and Renato Sanches has chosen Milan as his next club.

Therefore, finding an agreement between club and player has not been a problem with both sides very happy at the idea of joining forces ahead of the 2022-23 season, especially with Franck Kessie leaving to make room.

However, there is still a distance regarding a possible agreement with Lille as the Ligue 1 club are asking for €20m, but the Rossoneri have so far only offered €10m for the 24-year-old Portugal international.

The contractual situation of the player however favours Milan because Sanches’ contract is expiring in June 2023, so the two clubs could arrive at an agreement about halfway, therefore around €14-15m.

  1. LOL what a joke. We aren’t getting Botman Bremer CDK Zaniolo Lang – that’s for certain. We don’t have the $$$. But perhaps not even Sanches now? LOL. Like I said 100M to spend is nothing in todays transfer market and I doubt we even spend that. I think we will all be a bit disappointed from this transfer window (not surprising). No big spending. Conservative just like w Elliot.

    1. LOL what a joke, someone who doesn’t understand FFP no matter how many times it is explained to him. I can try again if you’d like, promise to use small words and bright crayons if that helps.

      1. LOL @ WCSG – what a clown. Not surprised you would have crayons on the ready – probably use them to stick them up your arse lol. Under your analogy we cannot sign any player due to FFP. If Sanches is not obtainable at 20M – how are we linked to CDK, Botman, Bremer, Antony etc…according to your logic. your a jackass pal. I made a general comment not directed at anyone – solely my opinion. you try peddle your childish thoughts (and crayons apparently) to attempt to make yourself sound intelligent lol. So enlighten all of us here. Explain FFP Sherlock. Because I’m sure you believe your the only one in the world who is educated about it lol. Jackass. Crawl back down to your moms basement, get back on the PlayStation, set your alarm so you wake up in time for your paper route and clean yourself up after your done with wherever you orifice you stick those “crayons” in

        1. What’s the matter little boy, did I hurt your feelings by calling out your abject stupidity? Maybe your mommy could wipe away your tears if she wasn’t so embarrassed by your existence.
Oh, by the way, what analogy did I use? Perhaps you should buy a dictionary, I knew “big” words would be hard for you.

  2. Amm tired of milan transfer. This Sanchez deal started last summer, continued in January, yet we always hear different stories. Sure at the end we will settle for a deadwood players they won’t give us the reinforcement we need. Getting embarrassed in the CL was never the AC Milan we know

    1. I think Milan is doing the right thing, this guy was bought for €25m▪with a year left on his contract,it’s only logical Milan offer around 5-8m for him.Lille is tryna exploit us and that’s what maldini wants to avoid.paying €15m is above his current contract value

  3. Diference is 10M. This is nothing, if we wont to try and be little more competetive in CL. I am only afraid, that time will come, when Maldini is going to say: go to hell (to owner), and leave the club.

  4. What is credible news and what’s sensation these days? I think it’s best to steer far away from all these reports till contracts are signed. It will safe us a lot of anxiety. In the meantime mid tier clubs from PL and La Liga are snapping up players from under our noses. I never thought I’ll see the day that Milan would compete with Leister Cityfor a player, no disrespect there but this is insane…
