AC Milan are set to host an event on Sunday night in order to help raise funds for key works in Italy, with DJ Khaled to host.
Football has taken a back seat as the world continues to try and fight the COVID-19 outbreak, with Italy in particular having been hit very hard by the virus.
Milan continue to be at the forefront of the fight against Coronavirus and have launched several initiatives to help those in need.
The fundraising began with the donation of €600,000 by the Fondazione Milan. A further contribution came from the Gordon and Jenny Singer Foundation, which donated €100,000 euros to the San Raffaele hospital in Milan to buy new ventilators. The players also donated a day’s wages to help local hospital workers.
Now, it has been revealed that Milan have teamed up with Roc Nation to create an event called ‘From Milan With Love’, with DJ Khaled hosting a night which will include performances from Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Jonas Brothers and Gavin Rossdale.
The club confirmed the event on their official website, with CEO Ivan Gazidis making the following comments:
“I am immensely proud that AC Milan and Roc Nation have created this platform to say thank you to everyone in Milan, in Italy and around the world who have been on the front line in the fight against Coronavirus.
“This crisis has presented unprecedented challenges for all of us, but the contribution that these key workers have made is humbling, inspiring and will never be forgotten.
“The participation of such an amazing array of talent in this event will provide a fitting tribute to them and I hope will help to spread a message of hope and optimism during this difficult period.”
Michael Yormark, co-CEO of Roc Nation Unified, added: “Roc Nation is honoured to partner with AC Milan on such a rewarding initiative, complimenting the incredible work that the club, and Elliott Associates, have done for the Italian community during the COVID-19 crisis.
“This pandemic stretches across the globe, but the strength, unity, and solidarity displayed by the Italian people during this period of uncertainty has been inspiring.

Finally, DJ Khaled added: “This Live Stream is a beautiful example of the power of unity – uplifting and inspiring people at a time when that’s needed most.
