CM: Dybala is the ‘crazy idea’ of Milan’s ownership that could become something more

By Oliver Fisher -

There are a growing number of voices suggesting that AC Milan are exploring a deal for Paulo Dybala who will very soon be a free agent.

Calciomercato.com report that contacts started a couple of weeks ago as Milan wanted to test the availability of the Argentine and to verify the parameters of a possible operation, with La Joya being a ‘crazy idea’ for the ownership.

RedBird Capital know that Dybala characteristics to ignite enthusiasm among the fan base including quality, versatility and a desire for revenge against those who turned their backs on him.

Inter have been working to sign the former Palermo star for weeks but have not closed the operation, which is where Milan could come in. Dybala is already training alone to be immediately ready for the preseason, and he has the broader aim of being a protagonist at the World Cup in Qatar.

Milan would certainly be a welcome destination for the player, who waiting to understand what both Inter and Atletico Madrid have in mind, while Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara would not be willing to offer close to the €7m he received at Juventus. A ‘crazy idea’ could become something more in the next fortnight.

  1. We’d be daft to pass this up. He’s world class, proven goal scorer, great age. The salary could be a problem but we surely are a more attractive proposal than inter who already have Lautaro and Lukaku plus a raft of others.

The other important thing to consider is if we get the 3 behind right, then Giroud will score more

  2. So it makes more sense to pay 25M for Ziyech and pay him about the same wage as Dybala? Like that guy would reduce his wage, he has such a temper and thinks he is a bit better than he is. I have to be honest, I don’t see the logic in Ziyech over Dybala, even if Dybala gets more money.

    1. I agree. Its similar logic to buying Botman / Bremer and paying them significantly more than Romagnioli is asking to stay for free.

  3. Pretty sure the wage would be the reason that we won’t sign either of Ziyech and Dybala.

But I do admit that 7m wage for players who are injury prone.. is a gamble I personally wouldn’t take considering there’s world cup this year and both Morocco and Argentina is in it. So unless both reconsider their wage demand significantly, I don’t see this happening.

Which means, we aren’t getting a good upgrade in the RW/CAM unless Maldini and our Scouting team pulls a miracle out of their hat and sign an unknown young superstar who changes the game like Mike and Tomori.

I hope Maldini can convince whoever is funding us this season to go all in for CDK.

  4. Sign Dybala, Noa Lang and Ziyech

If we get these players, we could beat every football club in Serie A and Europe to clinch the 8th UEFA Champions League to close the gap with Real Madrid

  5. Sure! We should’ve signed Erling Haaland and Mbappe too while we’re at it! How old are you — like 12?
No way we sign ALL of Dybala, Lang, Ziyech and CDK! LOL.
CDK is going to end up going to Leeds because 3 big teams are going hard after Raphinha (Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea all want to take him away from Leeds); and so Leeds will sell him and then get CDK. All 20 Premier League teams have more money to spend than Serie A teams because of the league’s TV deal. We have no chance at CDK.

If we get ONE of either Dybala or Asensio or Ziyech (that’s my personal order/preference for those 3), we’d be lucky to just get the one. We do need to upgrade RW (obviously — our weakest position this past year) and I’m confident Maldini will get it done one way or another (maybe Berardi?)… impossible to predict.

  6. “RedBird Capital know that Dybala characteristics to ignite enthusiasm” Redbird does not know crap about soccer, they are in it to make money not retain the Scudetto….Elliott Management same thing, they pulled the Scudetto out of their yang yang after spending zilch in the January transfer window…..is there any interest in Belotti ?
