Evening Standard: Milan hoping to convince Chelsea midfielder to take pay cut and join

Chelsea are ready to sell Ruben Loftus-Cheek during the January transfer window and AC Milan are interested in signing him, a report claims.

According to the Evening Standard, Loftus-Cheek is of interest to Milan in view of the upcoming mercato but he will be forced to take a pay cut if he is to follow the lead of Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham by making the move to Italy.

The report states that Chelsea are willing to sell the 27-year-old but the fact he is on £150,000-a-week wages (around €170k) ‘represent a stumbling block’ for Milan, who are hoping to convince the Cobham graduate.

Loftus-Cheek for his part ‘remains reluctant to leave his boyhood club’ and would need to be forced out by the incoming Chelsea boss, which is expected to be Mauricio Pochettino.

The midfielder rejected a move away in January when he was made available, but the summer could be a different story.

Milan always make stupid mistakes that will end up causing them problems is it not better we sign baldazi and Nicolo zaniolo instead of Loftus cheek we a solid attacking midfielder like Diaz we need a winger that can help leao I told this millan that we don’t need CDK in remaining Milan matches now they insist now the results in league has not been impressive I’m not happy Milan must do something right
