Fabio Capello has denied rumours that he could return to AC Milan this summer and work alongside Ralf Rangnick.
With Zvonimir Boban and Paolo Maldini set to leave due to disagreements with CEO Ivan Gazidis about future plans, there could be yet another management revolution at the club this upcoming summer.
According to what il Corriere dello Sport reported over the weekend, Gazidis has hatched the plan of bringing Capello back to Milan – a club he managed over two different spells and played at too – to act as a link between Ralf Rangnick and the ownership.
However, within a few hours this possibility has been denied and on Tuesday Capello denied the existence of talks with Milan.
According to MilanLive, he told La Repubblica that there has been “no contact” with the Rossoneri regarding yet another possible spell.
Meanwhile, Tuttosport offered some background on Tuesday as to exactly how the fallout between Boban and Gazidis came to fruition.
