Fabrizio Romano: Milan ‘so happy’ with Tomori and intend to buy him – Chelsea’s position outlined

By Oliver Fisher -

Fikayo Tomori is happy at AC Milan and the club want to sign him permanently from Chelsea at the end of the season, a report claims.

Tomori arrived on a loan deal from Chelsea with an option to buy included, and given how well the Englishman has done since joining in January there is intense speculation that the Rossoneri will look to buy him outright.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Milan are ‘so happy’ with the performances of Tomori so far and the management are keen to sign him on a permanent deal, but nothing will be decided before May.

He adds that there have been no talks yet with Chelsea, who are requesting that the €28m buy-out option is fully paid or he will return to west London. The 23-year-old is happy at Milan, so it is up to the clubs to work out his future.

Romano mentions that when a player joins a club on loan with a buy option he already signs a contract with his new club for the potential ‘future’, so that aspect is already taken care of.
