Fabrizio Romano offers update on Tomori situation: “Milan are not talking with Chelsea”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not yet in talks regarding a deal to sign Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea but a decision will soon arrive, Fabrizio Romano reports.

Tomori has been nothing short of hugely impressive since arriving on a loan deal from Chelsea during the January transfer window, as he has virtually established himself as a starter under head coach Stefano Pioli thanks to a number of top drawer performances.

As part of the loan deal, an option to buy was included set at a figure of €28million, and speculation continues to persist regarding whether or not Milan will pay that amount, whether they will snub the deal or potentially even try and negotiate it downwards slightly.

Most major outlets are reporting at the moment that the Rossoneri management are very happy with Tomori and intend to use that option that was agreed, but Fabrizio Romano has insisted in his latest podcast that talks have not yet begun.

“At the moment Milan are not talking with Chelsea. At the end of the season they will decide about the buy option,” he said (via R1F).
