Report claims Fenerbahce’s next offer for Krunic will be over €10m

Fenerbahce are getting a new offer ready for Rade Krunic and it is expected to be above the €10m threshold, according to a report.

Krunic has found himself at the centre of a transfer saga involving the Turkish club just as he has found himself at the centre of Stefano Pioli’s tactical plans in a literal sense, given he was used on Monday night at the base of a new-look midfield three.

According to the Turkish source Yeni Safak, Fenerbahçe will renew their offer for the Bosnia and Herzegovina midfielder Krunic, who is at the top of their wish list.

Milan want a transfer fee of €13m to sell, while the Istanbul club previously offered a transfer fee of €7m and will try to persuade Milan by improving this offer. Their sources claim the next bid will be over €10m when factoring in bonuses.

Fenerbahce have an agreement with Krunic over personal terms and the former Empoli man is putting pressure on the Milan management to go to Fenerbahce.

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri are in talks with Krunic to extend his contract – which expires in 2025 – and offered to double the player’s €1.2m net salary.

            But, I really don’t like Krunic at all. I like Pioli, I like a lot of what he does, but not Krunic and the subs could be a little earlier.

            I view Krunic as marginally above a banter era level player. He’s out of place in this current squad.

            There is word that the player we signed from Argentina, Marco Pellegrino can play as a DM and CB… a bit of a sweeper. If that’s the case…

  12. I dont mind the player as a backup but if the offer is above ten mil and krunic has indeed set his sight on a move to fenerbache then by all means sell him and replace him with someone better,
    When that is said it could also posses some issues in the coming games because a new player most likely would need a bit of time to gel with the rest of the squad,

      Krunic cost 8 million and is terrible in general and he only scored 3 goals in 4 seasons

  14. I get that he isn’t world class and the 10M offer should be debated, for example it’s right around what transfermkt puts his value at.

    But the digital anger towards a scudetto winning player, a good player, who is always available and ready to play whenever and wherever is not warranted.

    1. It’s true, but if you can get even 10 M for him, it should be considered a good deal. He is 29 and has no room for improvement. But yeah, we don’t have a player lined up to replace him apart from Dominguez.

      1. Of course 10 mil is a good deal. No debate. But it’s all about the timing. If the offer comes sooner from that cheap Turkish club, we might sell him. If Bennacer wasn’t got injured or if Tonali wasn’t sold, the chance to sell Krunic will be extremely high.

        It’s just a bad timing. Would we sacrifice our early result and team cohesiveness just for 10 mil? It’s just not an ideal trade off. We all know that Pioli time and time again said that Krunic is able to implement his tactical system extremely well.

        The logical decision is to keep him, at the very least, until Isma gets back to his feet again.

        1. Tbh it seems to me like we might sell Bennacer in the winter. He is good when he is not injured and probably the one with most talent out of our Scudetto midfield. He is just too injury prone. We also got Reijnders who more or less seems like a Bennacer replacement.

  20. Krunic is under pressure to impress, with all the players we signed. If he wants to leave, Pioli should not try to convince him. If we keep him, and double his salary, and he doesn’t play well, that will be a big loss for us. At the end of the season, he won’t be worth much, and the coach will keep benching other players while trying to help improve his game. So, the management should do what’s best for everyone.

  21. Krunic might not be the best attacker and is not rly visible in attacking plays, but that does not mean that he has no skills. All I guys hating Krunic are just some fifa players who think football is all about tackling and attacking. Sight… did u ever watch krunic managed to stay pressing resistant like a G? Did u ever see how he is able to create space by moving and pulling his opponents away??? Obviously not cause otherwise u would appreciate him more. All u guys see is dribbling and attacking but that is only 30% of football. But yeah you guys probably all know football better than pioli right?

  22. Take €10m, add a bit more, go hard to steal Amrabat from Fiorentina for a cut-rate price. He’s not training with the squad and they’ve confirmed no bids for him have yet come in. Play on their desire to offload a player who is unhappy at the club.

        1. You might be right but i hadnt heard any new development in amrabats case so maybe there were a chance of a deal that i wasnt aware of because i was pretty much of the notion that he would end up in utd or barca according to media reports.
          You are propably right there reccaman but i thought i kept it at a fair level to begin with but i simply just get too tired about those rude replies from of some of them. Anyways we might not always agree about everything reccaman but we are always on good terms as i see it.

Though I’m of the thought that if he’s being excluded from the squad (or, more drastically, if he’s excluding himself) and knowingly wants to leave, then no offers having come in (as confirmed by Fiorentina) gives leverage to a buying club to talk down the price. Especially as the end of the window approaches. If the alternative is to keep an unhappy player/let him rot while still paying his wages then getting SOMETHING in return perhaps becomes the appealing option.
