While it has not been as diminishing as last season, AC Milan have still had some poor luck with injuries this year, but they are seemingly coming to the end of it.
There have been occasional injuries this season that have certainly affected some games here and there, but Milan cannot say that it has derailed their season. Instead, that can only be attributed to poor mentalities and inconsistency.
Despite this, Sergio Conceicao will have more options available to him shortly, as he is expecting two new players to return from their respective injuries shortly.
As Tuttosport (via Milan Press) reports, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Alessandro Florenzi are both in the ‘final stages of recovery’ so they are expected to be back in action very shortly. Of course, the head coach has not seen much, if any of the duo in training, let alone on the pitch, so it will be another thing for him to consider.
Loftus-Cheek is hoping to be ready and back on the pitch at the start of March, likely after the game against Lazio. Then, Florenzi is aiming for the game against Como, a fortnight later.
Whilst both will probably not be around next season, it is a chance to earn themselves some attention.
RLC still has a future with this team if he remains healthy, as foFlorenzi, honestly the team needs to cut him loose, with all injuries, lack of pace, lack of game rhythm , and his age , he should not be used, right now at this crucial point in time of the season, we can not afford any mistakes with the line up and our matches, besides we have Walker, Terraciano, Jimenez and Emerson Royal, so having him is a waste of space and a waste of money, even in the Youth teams, we have players we can use, having him and retaining him for next season as some news has suggested will only hinder our project, we could easily get another Italian to hold his place in squad, he is finished.
What in the world is RLC’s injury that has kept him out this long? They never mention it yet he has been out almost as long as Florenzi who had major surgery.
