CM: First professional deal and a goal in front of Pioli – Eletu’s rise at Milan continues

By Oliver Fisher -

Many would have expected Sandro Tonali, Ante Rebic, Fikayo Tomori or Divock Origi to stand out during yesterday’s friendly, but in fact it was the surprise name of Victor Eletu who left his imprint on the 3-2 win over Lumezzane.

Calciomercato.com recall how the 17-year-old came off the bench in the second half and won the ball back to set up Gabriele Alesi for the equalising goal and then scored from inside the area to win it inside the final ten minutes.

Interestingly, Eletu is yet to score this season in 17 appearances for Milan’s Primavera side in the league, Coppa Italia and UEFA Youth League. He started out as a playmaker, but was then moved backwards as he grew in strength.

It has been an excellent few days for the teenager given that on Wednesday afternoon he signed his first professional contract at Casa Milan accompanied by his agent, Ted Dimvula.

His is a name known to Milan as he looks after the interests of Rafael Leao in the intricate negotiation for the renewal of the winger, one which also involves agent Jorge Mendes and the player’s father Antonio.

Maldini and Massara will soon resume talks, but the fact Milan and Dimvula have closed the renewal of Eletu shows that there is the ability to reach an agreement together.
