Tuttosport: Florenzi working hard to shorten recovery time – when he hopes to be back

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan defender Alessandro Florenzi is working hard to be available to head coach Stefano Pioli before the end of the season, a report claims.

Florenzi had an operation on the meniscus of his left knee last week which is expected to keep him out for around a month, just as the surgery did earlier in the season, but reports have emerged suggesting that his season might not be over.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Roma loanee is working hard to shorten the recovery time foreseen and to return to the field as soon as possible. In fact, the Rossoneri full-back wants to be at Pioli’s disposal for games in May.

Given the difficult end to the season during which Milan will face off against Lazio, Sassuolo, Fiorentina and Atalanta, Pioli needs all hands on deck and all of his players available if the team are to somehow wrestle back control of the title race.
