It was back on 20 February 2003 that the birth of Fondazione Milan was made official, thus marking 20 years to the day since its creation.
As the official website outlines, the Fondazione Milan is a public charity dedicated to developing social responsibility and sustainability projects which has undertaken more than 230 projects, offering its own contribution to promote accessibility to sport for all.
That charity has also helped to provide educational, health and social support, responding to the needs of the community in emergencies as well as in everyday life, donating more than €12m euros and developing structured projects alongside 170 organisations in Milan, Italy and 23 other countries worldwide.
To celebrate the anniversary there will be a Charity Dinner, which will take place on Thursday 23 February, and will be attended by representatives of the club and the coaching staff.
Milan will also launch a special clothing collection on the same day, consisting of two special hoodies of which 20% of proceeds will be donated to support Fondazione Milan’s future charitable initiatives.
