AC Milan lost to Atalanta on Friday night, and with the defeat, any hopes of a Scudetto push diminished. However, there is a big thing to take note of from the game.

Following the game, Fonseca voiced his concerns about the officiating against Milan this season, and despite having the support of the club, it seems that he and his players are on a different wavelength, according to a report.
As La Repubblica (via Milan News) writes, the players have ‘disowned’ their head coach, and worrying, it is the pillars that have done this.
Both Alvaro Morata and Tijjani Reijnders disagreed that the loss came as a result of poor officiating, instead looking at their own faults as a team, rather than seeking something else to blame, which is something that frustrated the fans after the game as well.
Despite largely positive signs against Atalanta, the result was still not the one required for the season to progress, and whilst this is a worry for the fans, the management are not prepared to take any action just yet.
Instead, it would only be if the Diavolo failed to qualify for the Champions League that action would be taken against the Portuguese head coach.
