Footmercato: Milan, Newcastle and Man Utd ask for information on Bundesliga hotshot

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have once again been listed as being in the running to sign Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy as early as the January transfer window, this time by a source in France.

According to Footmercato, there is no shortage of admirers for Guirassy which is not a surprise given he is the scorer of 15 goals in 10 appearances (including eight starts) for VfB Stuttgart this season.

That makes the 27-year-old Guinean the third-top scorer in Europe so far, ahead of Kylian Mbappé and even Erling Haaland, and he even missed matches due to an injury at the end of October.

Four big clubs have already come forward to ask for information: AS Roma, Milan, Newcastle and Manchester United. These four clubs are looking for an alternative in attack, either due to an initial lack of bench depth or because the sumer recruits have disappointed.

It must be said that in addition to his scoring record, Guirassy has the advantage of being available at an affordable price. He has a release clause of less than €20m (around €17m), which can be activated from this winter transfer window.

Guirassy does not close the door to a departure either, and remains attentive to the projects that will be presented to him. He should therefore be one of the major names in the next transfer window.

    1. Its a shame with the upcoming afcon but considering that he js available for 17.5 mil and propably currently could be sold for 50 mil at this point had it not been for his release clause its still pretty ideal to get him while we can.

      1. Why would he cost 50M? Dude didn’t manage to score over 10 goals in whole season until last season. Then he had 11. What, at 27 he became a top scorer? I would predict he is one of those one season wonders, like Piatek. This guy is 27. He can’t be worth over 20M with 95 goals in his entire career.

        1. Because players values skyrockets quickly when scoring that many goals. As ive said many times before on this website transfermarkt isnt exact science but they also values him at 40 mil currently and the fact he has scored that many goals this season will regardless of previous seasons make him a very big targets of clubs around europe and teams will pay a lot of cash for players ike that in an inflated market. He might not be young but at 27 years its basícally the prime age for attackers and whos to say if he can keep it going and even if he doesnt we should be able toattain what we paid. This would all depend on his salary and sign-on requests but surely its worth the go.

        2. I’m not a fan of players like this who have 1 breakout season mid to later in their career in a different league. Too many questions and risks.

      2. I agree that we should go for him at 17mil – he’s one of the brighter targets we’re linked with for sure. (Don’t reply to Tjoke aka Martin btw – he’ll just start go on another rant about “being a man” and “balls.”)

          1. Think he is talking about another user who just had the name Martin, at least i would hope so not that i agree with everything tkoje writes here i have no personal grievances with him either.

          2. Maybe you weren’t around few months back to enjoy the genius comments of “Martin” (not Martin Bernhard). He’s now posing as “Tjoke” on here, jumping down everyone’s throat with a different opinion. Either that or they’re related. Probably from the same village.

        1. Im sure you are not refering to me as martin but the fella that posted a lot in the summer, i did actually agree with one of his posts yesterday 😀 yeah the player seems like a bargain and even if he were to fail with us we should be able to reattain the cash we paid and as you i also believe he is the best tartget currently considering price and how ethal he has been this season.

          1. For that price we may as well get him – unless someone better pops up on the radar because I sure as hell aint convinced by Jonathan David. (And no, you’re right, I meant Martin/Tjoke.)

          2. Yeah it does seems so at least for the time being and david doesn’t really convince me either considering that they want the double for him. I thought so 🙂

  1. I would say it’s more about their manager than the players. Look, Undav also has some crazy numbers, even though he is not that prolific of a striker.

  2. Don’t need a striker. They’re better off dropping 20M or more for a cb. Unless they still have plans for gabbia (doubt). Or even better, cashing that 20M for a proper coach

    1. We need a DM, a CB and a theo deputy before looking for a striker. We would be able to manager with what we have.
I think the day Tomori gets injured would be the end of our top 4 race. They should try getting the Genoa defender.

      1. A proper dm would go a long way in giving stability to the cbs and the cms. A grinta destructor, not another fancy, can’t defend, regista type.

        1. Assuming a low budget I would volunteer Baschirotto. His contract expires in 2025, so Lecce might be willing to let him go in January to guarantee better money than July.
