CM: Four huge refereeing decisions that have gone against Milan this season

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been on the receiving end of some very contestable refereeing decisions in key moments so far this season, a report has recalled.

Calciomercato.com have taken a look back at the incidents that have gone against Milan, starting with the 2-1 defeat against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. After Kessie’s red card which was debatable in itself, a penalty was given in the last minute for Atleti to make it 2-1 as the ball ricocheted between Kalulu and Lemar. Referee Cakir awarded a penalty, but the replay showed how Kalulu only touched the ball after Lemar pushes it with his hand and VAR did not intervene.

Then there was the 1-0 home defeat against Napoli when Kessie scored to make it 1-1 in the final minute, but the referee Massa ruled the goal out after the intervention of the VAR, who considered Giroud to be offside despite the fact he was laid on the ground and was not interfering with pay.

The 2-1 home loss against Spezia is still fresh in the memory as Messias scored to make it 2-1 to the Rossoneri right at the end at the same time as Serra blew his whistle for a foul on Rebic, awarding Milan a free-kick on the edge of the box and not playing the advantage he should have. Gyasi scored the winning goal for the away side minutes later.

Finally there is Friday night’s game, when Udogie scored an equaliser by forcing the ball into the net with his arm, but neither the referee Marchetti nor the VAR intervened to cancel the goal.

  1. It’s actually easy.
The forwards have to score as many goals as possible to avoid major mistakes from the referees like they have experienced so far.
The question is, how do you get the “chance” to score when Milan’s only pure AM can’t even stand still for long on the ball???

    1. Score a goal is NOT EASY. You think you’re playing video games where you can score 10-20 goals against CPU?! You’re not the one who run, sweat, and got bruised for 90 minutes here!

Scoring more goals don’t guarantee the referee doesn’t make bad decisions that will put Milan at disadvantage either. Milan can score 5 goals in the 1st half and in the 2nd half the referee can give pinalty or red card that put Milan at disadvantage.

    2. Bro Ure a fool for what U said, do u think soccer is like a video game where u can run with 1 player from your post and still score the ball?

    1. Scoring more goals don’t guarantee the referee doesn’t make bad decisions that will put Milan at disadvantage!

Milan can score 5 goals in the 1st half and in the 2nd half the referee can give pinalty or red card against Milan that put Milan at disadvantage and let the opponents control the game or even win the match!

  2. I have to say ,that AC milan have had some outrageous decisions against them ,that have costs us points on the board …I still am not happy with VAR either …I just hope tomorrow that Giroud will get the nod to play tomorrow in the Coppa cup semi final .
He is still the man for big occasions.
So let’s hope we can be more precise and score a few more goals .Still all to play for.

  3. You all know that with just a single goal you can win a 3 point and now you are complaining about our forward let just talk about var,
