Premier League side Leicester City are ready to rival AC Milan for the signing of Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer, a report claims.
The Rossoneri look set to announce the signing of a new centre-back soon in the form of Flamengo’s Leo Duarte.
Duarte is set to put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal, joining the Rossoneri for a fee of around €11million and becoming the fifth summer signing in the process, however the club may not stop there.
Last week, it was reported that the Milan leadership are weighing up a move for either Ajer or Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren as they look to give Marco Giampaolo one more centre-half.
Now, a report from English paper the Daily Star (via MilanNews.it) claims that Leicester are now also considering a swoop for Ajer.
Their manager Brendan Rodgers signed the Norwegian back in 2016 for a fee of £650k, and now it appears he is keen on a reunion after losing Harry Maguire to Manchester United.
