AC Milan have been given a boost in their reported pursuit of Marseille winger Florian Thauvin, according to news emerging from France.
According to Telefoot (via MilanLive), Thauvin will not renew his contract with Marseille which expires in June, which therefore means that he is almost certain to leave on a free transfer. He will give his best until his final game and hopes to get the Ligue 1 side back in European competition for next season, but then it will be time for a new challenge.
Milan are one of the most concrete options, also because the player likes the idea of a move to Italy and Serie A. Napoli have also thought about the move, but the Rossoneri seem to be in a better position at the moment.
Maldini has expressed his admiration for the player in the past, and it seems that if he wants to seal the deal then the opportunity is there to do so.
