From Spain: Maldini fixated on Ajax sensation compared to Pogba – €20m offer possible

AC Milan are still interested in the idea of signing Ajax sensation Ryan Gravenberch having followed him months ago, a report claims.

The Rossoneri were heavily linked with a move for Gravenberch when it seemed that Ralf Rangnick would be arriving as head coach, given the German’s tendency to focus on young players with potential in low-cost deals, but he ended up signing a renewal with Ajax.

According to Spanish outlet TodoFichajes, Gravenberch has been in the Rossoneri’s sights for some time and they have not stopped monitoring him. Directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara could try again as early as January by offering €20m to try and convince the Eredivisie giants to sell.

Gravenberch is considered the ‘new Paul Pogba’ by some in the Netherlands and he does have similar characteristics, such as a tall frame, powerful physique and great ball control skills.

As an interesting aside, his agent is Mino Raiola, the man who of course controls the interests of Ibrahimovic, Donnarumma and Romagnoli.
