From Spain: Milan consider signing of playmaker already closed with €12m contract offer ready

AC Milan consider the signing of Porto playmaker Otavio on a free transfer ‘closed’ ahead of the summer transfer window, a report claims.

According to Spanish outlet TF, Milan are the favourites to land the 26-year-old Brazilian midfielder out of all the clubs currently chasing him. The player has shone for Porto over the last few years but has declined to extend his contract and wants to try a new challenge, so he will leave the Portuguese club on July 1 and will be able to sign at zero cost for the Rossoneri.

Milan are ahead of Sevilla and other suitors in the race to land Otavio, and the latest offer from the management is a contract until 2025 with a net salary of €3m per year, therefore a total commitment of €12m that Paolo Maldini and co. are willing to put on the table.

Once the offer has been made formal and has been delivered to the player’s agent, it seems that everything is heading towards an agreement, and at Milan they already consider the signing closed.
