From Spain: Milan turn back to €20m-rated Barcelona defender as Man Utd put up a wall

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have begun searching for an alternative to Diogo Dalot as Manchester United have no plans of selling him permanently, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by Spanish outlet TF, Dalot will return to Manchester United next summer despite the Rossoneri’s strong interest in negotiating a permanent deal.

The report claims that the Premier League giants have no intention of putting their player on the market, so he will return to Old Trafford at the end of the season and this time to stay.

Milan’s loan deal does not include an option to buy so Milan are powerless to help the situation, meaning instead they have now turned back to the market to try and find a new full-back.

United do not want to run the risk of ‘strengthening a direct rival for continental titles’, the outlet adds, so the Emerson Royal option has regained strength.

Barcelona would accept the sale of the Brazilian right-back – currently on loan at Real Betis – for €20m.
