AC Milan booked their place in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia with a 3-1 win over Roma last night in which Tammy Abraham and two new signings starred.

Milan put themselves in a great position with their first half performance as Abraham netted a brace against his parent club. The first with a brilliant header and the second came having been put through on goal, both assists from Theo Hernandez.

Artem Dovbyk did score early in the second half off the bench to reduce the deficit, but then January additions Santiago Gimenez and Joao Felix linked up after coming on – the former setting up the latter – to restore the two-goal lead.

The 3-1 win means that Milan have a two-legged semi-final to come against the winner of Inter versus Lazio, and below is how the front pages look.

La Gazzetta dello Sport: “New Milan paradise. Joao Felix enters and it’s a show: goal from Gimenez assist to send San Siro wild. Abraham brace.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Devil of an ex. Coppa Italia: two goals from Tammy, it ends 3-1 for the Rossoneri. Roma give gifts, ruthless Abraham, Milan in the semis. Great performance from the Englishman on loan from the Giallorossi. Now Inter or Lazio.”

Tuttosport: Milan Felix right away, goodbye Roma. Abraham brace, the new signing kills off the game after Dovbyk’s goal. Debuts for Gimenez and Sottil. Conceiçao waits for Inter or Lazio.”

QS: “New Milan paradise. Abraham-Joao, and Roma are out.”

  1. We have 5 players in the middle, 2 of which are injured. We are short in the middle of the field and I don’t know where this euphoria comes from that we can play three competitions with 3 healthy players? Wasn’t it better to take Fagioli instead of Sottilo?? Is it realistic that no one sees the short blanket in the middle?

      1. On Saturday, I will read from you how we are trash and how these players do not deserve to wear the Milan jersey. Each team enters the penalty area like Swiss cheese, and you tell me based on one game and that in the cup that I should enjoy it. I see how much you know about football. As for the position that it was better to bring Fagioli on loan until June, rather than Sottil, that will soon become clear. Stupid management. Sottil 🤣🤣🤣

    1. Have you seen Fagioli play? Do you think Juve would have sold an academy product if he was actually good? He’s 23, soon to be 24. He’s scored 3 goals and made 6 assists in 50 or so games for Juve. What is it you think he would bring to Milan?!??!

      1. He would bring more than Sottil and it will show quickly. You know very well why that is, because he did the same stupid thing as Tonali. Did you watch the match against Leipzig?
