Gallery: ‘Fonseca’s moves to save himself’, ‘Suitcase already packed’ – Today’s front pages in Italy

Tomorrow will be the first Derby della Madonnina of the season and there is a lot of pressure on AC Milan head coach Paulo Fonseca, amid reports he is playing for his job.

Virtually every major source is reporting that a positive result is needed to end the run of six consecutive derby defeats, otherwise the Portuguese coach will likely be gone after just six games.

Below are how the front pages of the Italian papers look…

La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Chess in the derby. Tomorrow Inter-Milan. Fonseca’s moves to save himself and Inzaghi’s to win 7 in a row.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Fonseca trembles with his suitcase already packed. Inter-Milan decides the future. All the derbies in one thrill.”

    1. Our milan management really wise. 2 candidate they choose in summer have good ranking. Lopetegui rank 14 in primier league. Fonseca rank 10 in serie a. Both of them bring their club out of relegation zone, really great achievement.

Maybe they will keep fonseca longer. Anyway they need a month to evaluate that fonseca is the right one.

  1. Who is Fonseca, I condemned Milan management allowing him put pen on paper but I was hoping he will prove me wrong but he actually didn’t disappoint me because I knew this will happen.
