AC Milan return to Champions League action tonight with one clear mission: beat Red Star at San Siro and continue pursuing the top eight spots.
The Rossoneri began with defeats against Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen but won the next three against Club Brugge, Real Madrid and Slovan Bratislava. That means a spot in the top eight and direct qualification for the last 16 is well within reach.
However, they will face a Red Star team that have won all but one of their league games this season – with a +46 goal difference too – and they beat Stuttgart 5-1 in their last UCL game. Therefore, it will not be an easy game at all.
