Gallery: ‘Class war’, ‘Pioli’s future is at stake’ – Today’s front pages in Italy

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan take on Roma at the Stadio Olimpico tonight hoping for a comeback mission in order to secure passage to the semi-finals of the Europa League.

Gianluca Mancini’s first half header was enough for Roma to emerge victorious in the first leg and give Daniele De Rossi’s men something to defend, but Milan will not give up on their European dream easily.

Below are how the front pages in Italy look this morning…

Gazzetta dello Sport: “Beauty of the cup. Roma-Milan to go crazy. De Rossi starts from 1-0 in the quarter-final second leg and relies on Dybala. Pioli’s future is at stake, and Leao motivates the team.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Class war. De Rossi: It’s the last call for them. Semi-final: the Giallorossi start from 1-0. Bove for Cristante. Pioli replies to Daniele: ‘We are already in the Champions League’.”

Tuttosport: “Milan, Pioli thrills, sparks with DDR. Not only the Europa League semis at stake: ‘Last resort? True, but we’ll play in the Champions League’.”

  1. Guys should practice penalty shoot outs.

We don’t have one single player who is reliable to take a pen.

Giroud and Theo misses every third penalty. Chuk Norris, and Tijjani may shoot out of target.

Only Leao and Pulisic and maybe RLC seems better than other but they are also not decent penalty takers.

It’s hard to see us winning by 2 goals difference.
