Sky: Fulham put forward a serious offer to Romagnoli but his dream remains Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Alessio Romagnoli’s future is still up in the air despite the fact the defender is very close to the expiry of his contract, a report claims.

Last night, Gianluca Di Marzio gave an update on Romagnoli’s situation during his segment for Calciomercato L’Originale on Sky (via MilanNews) and confirmed that as things stand his contract is expiring on June 30, meaning he will soon be a free agent.

The journalist states that Romagnoli was contacted yesterday by Fulham, who put forward a significant economic proposal to try and tempt him to west London after their promotion back to the Premier League.

However, Romagnoli is not enthusiastic about the destination given that they will likely face another battle to avoid relegation, and he is therefore waiting for the relaunch of Lazio. Interestingly, Di Marzio states that his dream is to remain at Milan and extend his contract with the Rossoneri.

  2. If we need another defender, why not just renew this guy? OK, he hasn’t lived up to his early promise, but he’s a capable Serie A performer.

  3. Still can’t believe we won’t renew is contract even when we went for Botman it was just a waste of money the money should be use for another department not a big signing at defence we rarely had issues there. I still hope we renew is contract he has handle everything like a gentleman
