AC Milan’s hunt for a new centre-forward continues, but there is one profile who still stands out above the rest at present.
Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) report this morning that Santiago Gimenez isn’t considered the quintessential Massimiliano Allegri striker, which is why Milan is reportedly looking for a new signing in this transfer window.

Victor Boniface, Patrick Schick, Tolu Arokodare, and Nicolas Jackson are just some of the names linked to the Rossoneri. Yet, the management have already identified the right player.
Green light for Vlahovic
After weeks of hesitation, Giorgio Furlani has given Igli Tare the go-ahead to negotiate with Vlahovic, who is an issue that Juventus need to resolve given his deal expires in less than 12 months.
As is well known, the Serbian – coming off a more than difficult season with Juve – has already rejected several high-profile offers from Turkey, while still aiming to continue earning €12m net per season from his next club.

If nobody show up who can pay him his current salary, then other options must be explored and this is where Milan enter the frame. The CEO Furlani, after an initial period of resistance, gave Tare permission to negotiate with the striker.
However, he has placed a cap of €10m on the transfer fee. Not only that, the player’s salary would have to undergo a significant cut, reducing it to half if not less, therefore €6m/yr or lower.

This guy that can’t control ball. With a useless right leg. Well, Tare & Co ltd knows better.
Name one better striker within his price/salary parameters.
can Messi control the ball with his right leg
Lets go! But 10 mil transfer fee, 6 mil wage. Seems like an extremely difficult job to begin with. The only way this will pan out is an extremely strong player’s will.
15M would still be worth for both sides and after Kalulu this would be a great revenge
What revenge?! We sold a really good right-back and got an average striker instead. What are you talking about?
yeah a 70M striker with proven 20+ goals per season for 10-15M is a very bad deal… my bad I talk with sheeple here
The transfer fee can probably be agreed upon. Its convincing Vlahovic to take a 50% paycut that is the real challange. Throwing away 60 mil isnt an easy thing to do.
Or they pay Juve €10 million, give Vlahovic a €4 million signing on bonus and €6 million a year in wages. If he signs a 4 year contract, that’s a €38 commitment.
It might not be a challenge at all. Is there anyone who is going to give him the 12 million requested? That kind of money he can get only in Saudi Arabia or Premier League (or maybe Turkey). Only PL gives him serious footbal. So the question is if we present to him contract for 6 million is there anyone else who would offer more by the end of the mercato? I dont think so, unless its the Saudis, but would he want to cash our so early in his career?
10 mil will make juve to register a loss which is not happening
Last yeat they sold Chiesa for 12 + 3 also with a loss, becouse they wanted to get rid of his salary. So they might settle for 10 – 14 for Valhovic.
They sold Chiesa: 1. To get rid of his salary — true.
But also, 2. Because they knew he was fragile. They basically cashed in on Liverpool. Now Liverpool wants to ship him out after a season where he barely played.
If the reported demand for wages is accurate, I don’t see why we’d even be talking to him. It’s either inaccurate, or we’re contemplating something really stupid, or the whole story is nonsense.
He’s an excellent finisher, but far too similar to Gimenez.
Yep
6mil a season for a poor first touch and inability to play with his back to goal? What kind of over-inflation is this??
Go for Goncalo Ramos, please
Hello Milan Fans, please stop predicting this player who didn’t preform well last season, do you know how bad Christian Pulisic was when he was coming from Chelsea, that was he’s bad season ever but he’s now a superstar in our squad now.. hellooo..If you all know Dušan Vlahović at Fiorentina, you will then understand why Allegri still have trust in him. Every player has bad season even Messi 🧏🏽♂️🧏🏽♂️🧏🏽♂️
Yes George. And also even in his worst he was same or better than Giroud. Easy to compare.
Technically a bigger Gimenez. He does not hold up the ball up front.
That’s his salary more than halved and app Juve are looking for 20-25mill , I don’t see him signi
This guy is crap. Will be a massive failure, just like he was at Juve.
I feel we need a right footed striker given that Gimenez is a lefty. If we’re to deploy a 4-4-2.
