AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani stressed the importance of youth for the future of the club at the annual Christmas party.
The Milan men’s and women’s first teams were at San Siro earlier on Wednesday for the traditional Youth Sector Christmas Party. The first part saw players distribute toys, play on a record-breaking foosball table and give a tour of the dressing room to the kids present.

The second part of the event featured speeches from club officials, while Massimiliano Allegri, Suzanne Bakker, Matteo Gabbia, Davide Bartesaghi, Alexis Saelemaekers, Angelica Soffia, Chante’ Dompig and Giorgia Arrigoni all answered questions too.
‘It’s not easy to wear the Milan shirt’
As mentioned, Furlani spoke on stage in the second part of the event and he addressed the many potential stars of the future that were there, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
“Innovation means having courage, the courage to look ahead and believe in the future. Innovation is vision, it is growth and faith in young people. Milan’s future begins here. In the Youth Sector,” he began.
“Where dreams become goals, and talent meets responsibility, in every training session and in every sacrifice you make. Behind every step forward are extraordinary people: coaches, educators, managers. But also those who work away from the spotlight: staff, warehouse workers, and chaperones.
“A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of you, to those who, every day, with passion and humility, help our young players grow. Those who work in the Youth Sector are the beating heart of our project, the silent force that fuels the Rossoneri’s dreams.
“And a sincere thank you also goes out to the families and parents who face sacrifices, distances, and commitments to support their sons and daughters, and entrust them to what is a second home for them: the PUMA House of Football, the cradle where AC Milan grows, on and off the pitch.
“And then a thought for the players, those who take to the field every day with courage and responsibility. Because it’s not easy to wear the Milan shirt: it requires character, discipline, and a true love for these colours.”

That’s only half the story. Their biggest mistake was dumping Abate. Under Abate, we had one of the best youth teams in Europe and the Primavera were one of the strongest teams in the league.
