GdS: AC Milan have one key objective for January mercato

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a key objective already set out for the January transfer window, according to the latest reports.

The Rossoneri brought in six names during the recent transfer window: namely Theo Hernandez, Rade Krunic, Rafael Leao, Ismael Bennacer, Leo Duarte and lastly Ante Rebic on deadline day.

The total spend of €95million has helped Marco Giampaolo and the new Milan leadership begin their philosophy of signing young players with high potential.

Zvonomir Boban hinted that the team failed to bring in one or two experienced names over the summer which could have helped ease the transition.

“Young players are good, but there must be players with experience and strength. We have many young players, perhaps it would have been good to add more experience,” he told Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it).

According to Friday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – the target for the January window is therefore already marked: the Rossoneri will go after experience.

One name Milan were linked with over the summer was Luka Modric, and Calciomercato.it reported yesterday that we may not have heard the end of it.
