GdS: Atalanta line up replacement as Milan want to snatch key director this summer

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have once again returned to the idea of hiring Giovanni Sartori as their sporting director ahead of next season, a report claims.

TMW first claimed back in December that Milan could look at hiring Sartori for next season, with the Rossoneri having made their ‘first evaluations’ on the idea.

The current technical director of Atalanta – who played for Milan in the late 1970s – is one of the most respected in Italian football in his role, having been credited with attracting names names such as Papu Gomez, Luis Muriel, Duvan Zapata, Marten de Roon and more.

According to the latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Nicolo Schira, Milan have returned to the idea of bringing in Sartori for next season.

In addition to that, Schira claims that Atalanta are already beginning to think about his replacement in the form of Stefano Capozucca, who worked with their head coach Gian Piero Gasperini at Genoa.
