AC Milan face competition both domestically and from abroad if they want to sign Empoli starlet Samuele Ricci, according to a report.
The 19-year-old has made 30 appearances for Empoli this season across all competitions, but Tuesday night will be his last as Chievo knocked the Tuscan side out in the first quarter-final of the Serie B playoffs.
They added that Exploratory talks have already been held but the two parties agreed that negotiations would be postponed until after the play-off, but now the clubs will be able to start talking about the teenager once again.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport however (via MilanNews), Borussia Dortmund and Fiorentina are also in the race to land Ricci.
The Bundesliga club is one of the clubs most attentive to the Italian starlet, who Empoli value at around €15million. It is not excluded that an auction could be triggered for the midfielder’s services, given the rising interest.
