Rafael Leao will get another chance to show what he can do in the attacking midfield position against Crotone today, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) notes how Hakan Calhanoglu will be on the bench to start the game, as COVID weakens those who have it and he is therefore not yet ready to start. The Turkey international needs some more work to find the right athletic condition, but it is not to be excluded that he comes off the bench.
Leao will act as the number 10 again, and against Bologna the young Portuguese showed he can play well even in that position, so Pioli seems willing to repeat the experiment.
With Leao in great shape, the attack mechanisms should work anyway, even without Calhanoglu between the lines. Saelemaekers and Rebic will be the right and left wingers respectively.
