A report this morning has suggested that there is an element of pressure on the new coach Paulo Fonseca because Gerry Cardinale believes that the summer transfer window provided him with plenty of resources.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport talks about how Cardinale will be at the game against Venezia tomorrow night at San Siro and he expects to see a change in gear from Milan, who are yet to win a game in the league this season.
Cardinale ‘will be able to enjoy the spectacle of San Siro, once again close to sold out’ which is very good for the business side of things, but he also knows that the fans ‘need to applaud and not boo, as already happened in Parma’.
Cardinale ‘remains dissatisfied’ and Fonseca ‘is the first from whom he demands a change’. The RedBird Capital founder is convinced that the summer mercato that the management conducted was positive and has strengthened the team.
While the CEO Giorgio Furlani publicly backed Fonseca during the unveiling of Tammy Abraham just after the Lazio game, La Gazzetta’s report is certainly more in line with Sky’s which claimed that the Venezia, Liverpool and Inter games are an early watershed for the former Lille boss.
