GdS: Cardinale could involve Toulouse president in planning of Milan’s future

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale could look to utilise Toulous president Damien Comolli at the Italian club in the near future, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Radio Rossonera), the Milan owner is keen to use whatever or whoever is within reach to get Milan back on top.

Toulouse are also majority-owned by RedBird Capital Group and any movement between the two clubs will be publicly viewed as further proof that Milan are firmly part of a multi-club ownership model now.

It is not clear in what role Comolli would join Milan, but he is vastly experienced in the world of football having first entered it more than 30 years ago.

He coached youth teams in Monaco before then spending eight years as a scout for Arsenal when the club won the Premier League three times. Comolli has been sporting director at Saint-Etienne, and he became Director of Football at Tottenham.

He worked at Liverpool until 2012 and was part of the team that signed Luis Suarez and Jordan Henderson, before then taking a six-year break from football.

After a spell at Fenerbahce, he became Toulouse president in 2020 as RedBird acquired the club and he is therefore someone that Cardinale admires and trusts.

  1. seems like a very qualified guy so no open issues for me if we add him to our management.

On a sidenote I just frequented milans u19 page on transfermarkt and even though it isnt exactly scientific I could see our players has increased in value.

    Simic 5 mil
Jiménez -loan with option- 3 mil
    Zeroli – 1.5 mil
Camarda – a stggering 10 mil and he isnt even under contract 😀 will be interesting to see his valuation when he actually signs his first pro contract 🙂

  2. CORRECTION: AC Milan owner ELLIOT FUND could look to utilise Toulous president Damien Comolli at the Italian club in the near future, a report claims.

    1. No Elliot don’t own Milan anymore.
It’s a loan that could have them repossess the club if it expires, which seems quite unlikely.
