GdS: Young duo expected to leave Milan on loan – the clubs interested

By Oliver Fisher -

While there is still focus on the possibility of making a late signing for the defensive department, the AC Milan management are also working on two potential exits.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) reports this morning that the final 72 hours of the window, paradoxically, could see the Milan squad reduced in terms of numbers rather than expanded.

Marco Pellegrino has decided that it is best to go out on loan somewhere to play more consistently and recovery match sharpness after recovering from a broken foot.

Sampdoria are the most determined team, but Hellas Verona, Cagliari and Anderlecht have all expressed their interest. Verona have a better chance, because they have offered guarantees.

There may also be some late movement regarding Chaka Traorè, who is in talks with Lausanne in Switzerland but above all with West Bromwich Albion who play in the English Championship.

After his excellent winter there have been expressions from interest abroad, and the feeling is that the Ivorian could well head somewhere to get consistent senior minutes.

Both players are unlikely to play much under Stefano Pioli at the moment even given the injuries at centre-back and the absence of a true deputy to Rafael Leao, with the coach preferring more senior replacements.
